SONA ASLANOVA
The Honorary Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic,
former Professor of the Baku Conservatory, a legendary composer
Uzeyir Hajibeyov's student Sona Aslanova was born in Baku in 1924.
She is a living legend of Azerbaijani culture. We all remember
her beautiful voice from "Arshin Mal Alan" movie, from
classical music recording by the Golden Fund of State Azerbaijani
Television and Radio. Sona Aslanova currently resides in California
and is frequently visited by the AAWA staff.
NURIDA ATESHI
Nurida Ateshi is one of AAWA proud members who reside abroad,
in Germany. A young, talented, hard-working Azerbaijani woman
is known as a poet, writer, a researcher whose poems, lyrics and
researches are popular both in Azerbaijan and abroad. She is also
the Founder of Nizami Ganjavi Insitute in Germany as well as is
actively researching the authorship issues of Ali and Nino. For

IRADA DALILI, Ph.D, M.D.
Azerbaijan and US-educated Irada Dalili is expert in Cardiology
and Endocrinology as well as Family and Preventive Medicine. She
has a vast experience working in the field both in Azerbaijan
and US where she currently resides. Irada Dalili is the author
of 14 scientific articles published in medical journals around
